Pickles!

I realized that I hadn't updated in a while and I knew I just had to take these pictures. All the cacti are blooming and my kids call the buds on the sajuaro catcus pickles. They love pointing out pickles when we are out because it makes me laugh.

Killdeer

These cute little birds made a nest in our backyard and 2 babies hatched yesterday or last night sometime. They are so fun to watch and are the only birds of their kind we've seen around here. (I'm sure there are others we just haven't seen them) The boys and I love watching them so I had to get pictures of the babies before they left. Here's some snaps! The first is the Mom or Dad and the second is 1 of the 2 babies!

I haven't taken pictures for this blog in a while so I asked the boys if I could take a quick picture of them. Only one let me, but he is cute. Food on his face and all. They were happy we went outside though because we found a nest in our tree. We knew there was one up there because the dad is guarding it from the ground. I'll try to get a picture of him tomorrow.
